Making Popsicles with Tea

Remember how much you loved Popsicle as a child, now you can can enjoy Tea Popsicles as an adult!

The heat, or rather the humidity, is in full force here and I feel like I’m wilting a little.  So with a little suggestion from our social media guru, Jeanene, we came up with a few cooling treats for the summer, Tea Popsicles.

I’ve tried a few that didn’t work quite right.  But that just means that I get to try, try again.  And I don’t mind…really I don’t….

The winners so far have been:

Delicious Iced Tea Popsicles!

1 tsp loose Iced Tea Blend Tea

½ cup boiling water

½ cup lemonade

Brew the tea for 4 minutes in the boiling water. Strain and combine with the lemonade.  Pour into Popsicle molds, ice cube trays, or paper cups and freeze.

Burgundy Blast Popsicles

1 tsp loose Burgundy Blast Herbal Tisane

½ cup boiling water

½ cup raspberry lemonade (I used Newman’s Pomegranate Lemonade)

Brew the tea for 10 minutes in the boiling water. Strain and combine with the lemonade.  Pour into Popsicle molds, ice cube trays, or paper cups and freeze.  Delicious!

Chai Popsicles

2 tsp loose  Chai Black Tea

1 cup boiling water

3 oz. sweetened condensed milk

3 oz. coconut milk

Brew the tea for 4 minutes in the boiling water. Strain, cool and combine with the sweetened condensed milk  and the coconut milk.  Pour into Popsicle molds, ice cube trays, or paper cups and freeze.  Rich & creamy, these Tea Popsicle will thrill the whole family!

These are just a few of the many combinations I’m going to be trying this summer.  Next up White Ambrosia, Chocolate Caramel and Dragon Phoenix Pearl Jasmine.  I think I’ll be having fun with this “job”!
